Supercook is a new recipe search engine that finds recipes you can make with the ingredients you have at home. To begin, simply start adding ingredients you have. The more ingredients you add, the better the results will be.

While the site is really nicely done up to the point where you click on the result, there are few serious issues: 1) they subframed recipe pages and effectively steal content from other recipe sites (unlike normal search engines that just link to content). 2) they redirected all links on those pages to their domain, and effectively don't let visitors visit the original recipe sites by clicking on links, but steel their traffic. 3) they are trying to patent a technology that takes two weeks to develop and has been developed on few other sites long before they made theirs. For example, look at this <a href="http://ezeating.net/about.php">ingredient recipe search</a> about page. A three line code that includes SQL statement solves the core of the problem! Software patents are EVIL !!! I didn't patent any of my web related ideas, but these guys forced me to spell out public licensing for the related code. I will be posting code for additional features that they consider 'original' and worthy of patent (like the trivial ingredient suggestion they use based on simple statistics -- how often new ingredients appear in recipes that use selected ingredients).
