A favicon (short for ‘favorites icon’), are litle icons associated with a particular website or webpage, shown next to the site’s name in the URL bar of most browsers. The most common sizes for favicons are: 16×16, 32×32, 48×48, 64×64, 128×128. Browse to the file’s location on your computer to select the image and press “Upload Image” button to generate a favicon for your site

Hi! Genfavicon is nice website, but it lacks information about favicons and how to create them. If you want to create your favorites icon go to www.1favicon.com . I just love it! I created favicons for my 3 websites in under one hour.

Yeah, I agree. 1faviocn has a real good tutorial to make a favicon on your own.

Thanks for the information. I was wondering how this was done. I want to get it done for my site. I see that you have an image that looks like an acorn. Is that significant for something as I don't see it on the site?
